Cirque du Soleil VAREKAI opening Montreal, 2002
World Premier for Cirque du Soleil’s VAREAKAI touring show. The party was held in multi-level parking garage in Montreal’s Old Port. I did the artistic direction for the entire event. Circo de Bakuza produced all the entertainment; costumes & props, video content, live music, DJ and of course, live painting on video images with stroboscopes. i was painting in red and white, the image was vanishing with the red lights, a real psychedelic journey: I was giving life to performers as I was body painting them.
