Cirque du Soleil ZUMANITY opening Las Vegas, 2003
World Premiere for Cirque du Soleil’s ZUMANITY at the New York New York Hotel in Las Vegas. The party was a 12-hour outdoor extravaganza on top of the parking garage of the hotel. I performed in a all-night live painting and created two large 6’ X 8’ canvas painting, including silkscreen elements, collage, etc. We had set up a multi-leveled scaffolding stage enabling video projections and fire performances by my friends from the Apsara tribe form San Francisco. I wanted to bring as mush excitement to look at a painter than to look at the music band performing.
